Islamic Wills

Know your rights and protect your family!

Did you know that if you die without a will, your estate is distributed according to the state law of inheritance. These laws are no way derived from the Islamic Shariah, which is incumbent for us to follow. The state may impose taxes and court costs that could be avoided by writing a will. The probate courts may often take a long time to make a decision, causing hardship to your loved ones.

Allah (SWT) states in the Quran, "It is prescribed, if death approaches any of you, if he leaves behind wealth, that he make a bequest to parents and next of kin. According to usage; a duty incumbent on the righteous". (Baqarah 180)

Our beloved messenger (SAW) said, "It is not right for a Muslim who has property regarding which he must make a will, that he should pass even two nights without having his will written". (Bukhari and Muslim)

I can offer you professional and sound advice and will help you put an Islamic Will together, that is compliant with ShriƔh (Islamic law) as well as with the Australian law.
